Henry Cavill - Superman

Sure, 2012 may have the conclusion of Chris Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, but come 2013, we’ll see the start of the new Superman film series, with the director behind as a producer.

Variety is reporting that actor Richard Schiff has joined the film’s cast as a character named Dr. Hamilton.

The movie is being helmed by Zack Snyder, and with the title of Man of Steel this sounds like it will be unlike any Superman flick we’ve had a chance to see.

Personally, while I’m not too familiar with Schiff’s work on TV (save for The West Wing) I do really love the idea of Snyder taking on a project like this. I’m a huge fan of the director, and while he’s become something of a whipping boy as of late, save for 300 I have yet to find a film of his that I dislike even remotely. He’s a fine director with great action chops. Color me excited.
