I love playing Scene It?, the popular board/pop culture question game. Why do I love it, you ask? Because, depending on the subject matter of the particular edition played at the time, I DOMINATE! Put in The Simpsons or the Seinfeld editions and I will own your ass and send you crying home to mommy. Which is why I’m so excited that Screenlife, creators of the Scene It? games have announced that they will at long last be producing a Star Wars edition of the game, and yet another edition in which I will dominate.
This new edition will see release sometime in the Fall of 2012.
The new version is part of the 10th anniversary of the Scene It? line and will feature clips and questions from all six Star Wars films and will feature Star Wars specific challenges, new puzzle types, and behind the scene info. There was no word if they will include questions from the Ewoks TV movies, but I certainly hope they will. The game will be previewed at the upcoming New York International Toy Fare. Also previewing will be an edition of the game titled Movie Night that focuses on blockbuster films, spanning comedies, action movies, dramas and whatever else they want to throw in. Movie Night will also see release in the fall.
Barry Watts, CEO of Screenlife had this to say of the announcement:
It’s a delight to bring Star Wars, one of the most popular and beloved film franchises of all time, to the Scene It? galaxy of rich entertainment trivia.
2012 is shaping up to be a great year for movie fans, as we are bringing not only fantastic new titles like Star Wars and Movie Night to our lineup, we are giving players new ways to play with convenient streaming gameplay.
I can’t wait to pick this up and school some fools in the art of high speed question answering, and I’m sure many others will also be looking forward to it. In the meantime, anyone want to play some Seinfeld Scene It?
