Okay ladies and gentlemen, I was wrong. I was wrong about the fact that I had previously stated that with the rise of remakes and board game adaptations, Hollywood was all but creatively bankrupt. Nope, it’s this that’s finally proven they have absolutely no creativity left.
Variety is reporting that the low-budget label over at Paramount, Insurge, is hard at work on a film revolving around that “Ultimate Dog Tease” YouTube video, that spread like wild fire last year. With 94 million views, this has become one of YouTube’s most watched videos, and its creator Andrew Grantham, is cashing the hell in.
The film will be written by Alec Berg and David Mandel. I honestly have no idea what to say. At this point, my soul is just dead. I’ve become a hollow husk of a man thanks to these guys. An admirer of true cinema, and its boundary-pushing capabilities, this is all just slowly eating away at my core.
Who finds this to be a good idea? What, did Fred: The Movie not do well in its straight-to-DVD run for you guys? Find me a person who thinks this will work, and I’ll find you a person who is the closest thing this planet has to a true Devil.
