The Mark of the Spider-Man viral marketing campaign that launched not too long ago to promote the July release of The Amazing Spider-Man and sent fans in six major American cities on a scavenger hunt for a spider insignia similar to the one on the costume of Marvel’s wall-crawling, crime-fighting superhero has paid off now that all six spider symbols have been located.

Now, Sony Pictures and Marvel have released the first full scene from the Marc Webb-directed movie and you can watch it here below.

The scene runs less than a minute and it may disappoint you unless you’re anxious to see how Peter Parker, as played by Andrew Garfield (The Social Network), handles himself against a threat more insidious than any malevolent menace cooked up by Stan Lee: an unfriendly doorman. It’s apparent what Peter has in that bag of his that he can’t show said doorman, but already I’m liking Garfield’s interpretation of the character much more than Tobey Maguire’s.

The Amazing Spider-Man opens on July 3, 2012.
