Nothing can brighten your day quite like a pair of veteran actors playing superheroes on a lazy off day.
The latest episode of the web series The Daly Show starring actor Tim Daly (Diner, Wings) and his son Sam finds the elder Daly embracing his inner Man of Steel, requiring an intervention from none other than actor/geek god Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Slither).
You can watch the hilarious video, entitled “The Daly Superheroes,” here below.
Daly and Fillion provided the voices of Superman and Green Lantern, respectively, in the recently released direct-to-video animated feature Justice League: Doom, roles both actors have taken on in the past. Daly has voiced Superman before in a late 1990’s animated series on the now-defunct WB and in the DTV movies Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. Fillion meanwhile previously voiced Green Lantern in another DC Universe DTV feature, Green Lantern: Emerald Knights. Both actors also star on hit ABC series: Daly on Private Practice, Fillion on Castle.
Towards the end young Sam Daly realizes he needs some additional assistance and summons another actor with extensive experience playing around in the DC Universe: Michael Rosenbaum. Rosenbaum is best known for playing Lex Luthor in the first seven seasons of Smallville, but he has also provided the voice of the Flash in the Justice League animated series and done voiceover work for other DC-related cartoon programming like Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and Teen Titans. The actor recently joined Daly and Fillion in reprising the role of the Flash in Justice League: Doom, so you can probably ascertain what happens next.
“The Daly Superheroes” was written and directed by Ben Shelton.
Justice League: Doom is in stores now.
