Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios have released six character posters to promote their upcoming superhero team-up blockbuster The Avengers. You can check them all out here below.

Most of them look very much like they appeared on the recently released movie poster but at least Captain America and Thor aren’t striking goofy poses anymore. Would have been nice to finally get Iron Man’s helmet back on, but what can you do?

The Avengers opens on May 4, 2012.
