It’s been nearly four years now since we first heard that Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, and Evan Goldberg‘s apocalypse comedy trailer, Jay and Seth Versus the Apocalypse (which you can see here if you haven’t already), would actually be turned into a feature length movie.
Since then it has be re-named The Apocalypse…and then re-named again, giving it its current title, The End of the World. With the title changes the movie’s story has also changed, and quite the cast of actors have jumped on board, most of whom we’re used to seeing together on the screen.
Even more actors are now joining the project, including Harry Potter star Emma Watson, who’s in negotiations, as well as Jason Segel and David Krumholtz. All three actors will be playing themselves.
The trio joins a cast that already includes Rogen, Baruchel, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson…all of whom will also be playing themselves in the movie.
The original short had Rogen and Baruchel as odd couple roommates in the middle of the apocalypse. The feature will follow a group of friends who are stuck together at James Franco’s apartment with the apocalypse looming.
Rogen and Goldberg, who are also making their directorial debut on the movie, have promised lots of celebrity cameos in the movie, and so you can only imagine how all of these famous faces will be used and how many of them will have comical apocalyptic demises.
