The first DLC add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been out for a little while now, but fans who play on PC and PlayStation 3 have been waiting patiently for their turn to check it out.
Today Bethesda Softworks announced that the DLC, titled Dawnguard, is officially available to download for PC users via Steam. The DLC will cost you $19.99 and is available in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish versions.
In Dawnguard, you choose between taking the side of Lord Harkon, a powerful vampire who is looking to use the Elder Scrolls to kill the sun forever, or the Dawguard, a group tasked with stopping Harkon and his vampire followers.
No word yet on when the DLC will be available on PS3.
Also announced by Bethesda is a massive QuakeCon 2012 sale on Steam. The sale covers Bethesda and id Software games, and includes some incredible values.
The biggest of them all is the QuakeCon 2012 pack, which includes an absurd amount of content for $99.99 (down from $456.59…yeah), only $40 more than most single new games cost, and it includes Skyrim.
Here’s a list of what you get for a $100 bill (err, credit card swipe):
— The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
— Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition
— The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition
— Fallout: New Vegas + All DLC
— The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition
— RAGE
— Brink
— DOOM 1-3
— Quake 1-4
— Hunted: The Demon’s Forge
— Commander Keen
— Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth
— Much More
There’s also daily sales going on. Today, Thursday, August 2 (better hurry!), is the Elder Scrolls pack, which includes all three games mentioned above, plus the Dawnguard DLC for $63.56 (down from $119.96). Tomorrow, Friday, August 3, RAGE will be on sale for 50% off. Saturday, August 4, all Fallout titles and their DLC is on sale for 66% off. And Sunday, August 5, all DOOM and Quake titles are 75% off.
I want to know if were getting any info today tomorrow or next week or are they going to screws and not release it until after new year so they can keep shucking up microsoft . People are saying that ps3 are
Being screed because the systems to powerful, what bullshit. If it was more powerful it would be able to handle the dlc no problem the fact is they developed this add-on as a Xbox only so it was easier to release it for windows becuase that just another part of microsoft.
I would say to all ps3 users stop playing and paying attention to this game because the wait is more than likely going to be along one. So time to find a new game.
Bethesda you’ve really screwed the ps3 users royally
