‘Beautiful Creatures’ Trailer: There’s History and Mystery Behind This Supernatural Love

Life for young teenage girls (and maybe their mothers) won’t be easy after The Twilight Saga comes to an end. But Warner Bros will attempt to fill that void in their hearts with Richard La Gravenese’s big screen adaptation of Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl’s Beautiful Creatures. The film initially sounded like just another young adult romance novel, but then actors like Emma Thompson, Viola Davis, and Jeremy Irons joined the cast. Yup, some pretty big names are in this tale of supernatural young love.

Beautiful Creatures stars Alden Ehrenreich as Ethan, a young man who has recenty moved into a small southern town. He becomes smitten with Lena (Alice Englert), a young mysterious girl of few words. Together they develop a relationship and find out that their respective families and even their own town has some dark secrets.
Is she a witch or isn’t she? Well, you will just have to find out when Beautiful Creatures opens in theaters on February 13, 2013. Apple debuted the trailer.
