Remember way back in 2009 when very few of us knew who Tom Hardy was, when we found out that he would be taking the place of Mel Gibson as Mad Max in George Miller‘s fourth movie in the post-apocalyptic franchise, titled Mad Max: Fury Road.
The movie has been in the making for quite some time, indeed, and it’s not even being released until sometime in 2014. Hardy has become one a superstar in that time, and only continues to grow, which can only mean very good things for the new Mad Max flick.
Today comes out first peek at Hardy as Mad Max from the movie. It’s a picture he signed for one of the crew members, that was later confirmed by Warner Brothers to be an authentic Max shot. You can see the image below!
What do you think? How does he look compared to ol’ Mel above?

You can’t compare the two. They are two different men they can’t look identical d’uh! I personally think he looks awesome but I like Tom Hardy anyway. Mel Gibson’s career took off after Mad Max so it never makes sense to compare. He was amazing back in the day. I think they both look/looked awesome ; )

It should have been a remake. I’ve hated Gibson since he blamed Jews for everything. (no I’m not Jewish), and wish this wasn’t connected to the Mad Max flix he was in. Tell you the truth though I didn’t really like Mad Max before Mel came out as an anti semite. They just never hooked me. Still…I’ll give Hardy’s version a shot. I won’t ever watch the old ones in the series though.

YYYYYYEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
<3 Tom Hardy
I saw the first and second Mad Max movies again the other day and I really really hope these guys will make something similar, yet different (you know what I mean?), like, something with the same cars and feel, but a different story and a liiittle more depth to the characters (but not too much, because it's still supposed to just be a kick-ass action movie :D)
Can't wait to see the result of Fury Road <3
