| Comet TV Guide To June 2017 Movies & TV Shows
This month, COMET TV, which streams free sci-fi movies and television shows, is offering a bunch of movies and TV shows, including 1995’s The Prophecy and its first two sequels; 1980’s Motel Hell, two Halloween films, and the 1980 Mel Gibson classic Mad Max, and more, along with episodes of Stargate. Next month, the network will be hosting a weekly Godzilla double-feature, as well as a July 4th “Invasion: Alien Attack Movie Marathon.” Check out the programming guide for June 2017 here below, along with details on the July 4th marathon and Godzilla films.

| ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Black and White Version Finally Being Released
If you were looking for a reason to double dip on anything Mad Max, the Mad Max High Octane Collection and the Mad Max: Fury Road Black & Chrome Edition should be a good enough reason. The High Octane collection will have all four movies in the series, including the highly anticipated black and white version of Fury Road. The Black & Chrome Edition is only the original Fury Road and this new black and white version. This is something that fans of the franchise have been waiting for since director George Miller said, “the best version of this movie is black and white.” Of course, this falls a little bit short of the theatrical release that it deserves, but hey, we are still getting the version of the movie the way it was meant to be seen. | Oscars 2016: A Rundown Of The 88th Annual Academy Awards
Oscars 2016 has come and gone. The stars walked from the Red Carpet in Hollywood. We saw what they were wearing. The winners were announced, and the 88th Annual Academy Awards, which was broadcasted on ABC live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, tonight, is done. There were a lot of intriguing storylines heading into this year’s show: Would Leonardo DiCaprio finally get his first Oscar? Would Sylvester Stallone win for a character he was nominated for 40 years ago? Would Alejandro Inarritu become the first director since Joseph L. Mankiewicz in 1949-50 to win back-to-back Best Director honors? What about the elephant in the room — the lack of diversity amongst the acting nominees for the second straight year — would it be addressed? What on earth would host Chris Rock say?!?! Now the the ceremony is over, here’s a rundown of the evening’s events…
