| ‘Saw’ Reboot Adds Samuel L. Jackson As Chris Rock’s Father
When it was announced that Lionsgate would be rebooting Saw based on an original idea from Chris Rock, most laughed at the idea. But the franchise will be bringing back some key players. The original creators of the franchise, James Wan and Leigh Whannell, executive produce alongside Daniel Heffner and Rock. Additionally, Darren Lynn Bousman, who directed Saw II, Saw III, and Saw IV, would be helming. And Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg, who penned the last entry of the Saw franchise, would be writing the script. Now the reboot, which promises take the horror series to an “intense and twisted new place,” is adding some major star power. According to new reports, Glass and Spider-Man: Far From Home star Samuel L. Jackson will be joining the cast. More on the report below.

Like a good horror villain, the Saw franchise refuses to die. It’s been announced that the franchise is being rebooted with a new entry in 2020, and someone quite unexpected is behind its resurrection: Chris Rock. Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures have teamed up with Rock for the reboot, which he says will take the horror series to an “intense and twisted new place.”

| Adam Sandler’s Chris Farley Song On ‘SNL’ Pays Tribute To His Late Friend and Comedian
Adam Sandler hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend, marking his first time back on the long-running NBC late-night sketch show since his 1995 firing by the network. A sore subject he addressed in his opening monologue during his song, “I Was Fired.” The humorous tune, which contained a guest appearance by Chris Rock, also mentioned how his friend and co-star Chris Farley had been fired at the same time. To close the show, Sandler performed a more somber song in tribute to Farley, who died in 1997 of a drug overdose at age 33. | Oscars 2016: A Rundown Of The 88th Annual Academy Awards
Oscars 2016 has come and gone. The stars walked from the Red Carpet in Hollywood. We saw what they were wearing. The winners were announced, and the 88th Annual Academy Awards, which was broadcasted on ABC live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, tonight, is done. There were a lot of intriguing storylines heading into this year’s show: Would Leonardo DiCaprio finally get his first Oscar? Would Sylvester Stallone win for a character he was nominated for 40 years ago? Would Alejandro Inarritu become the first director since Joseph L. Mankiewicz in 1949-50 to win back-to-back Best Director honors? What about the elephant in the room — the lack of diversity amongst the acting nominees for the second straight year — would it be addressed? What on earth would host Chris Rock say?!?!
