‘Uncut Gems’ Trailer: Adam Sandler Returns To Drama In Latest From The Safdie Brothers

As many of you are aware, Adam Sandler will step away from making the comedy flicks that he’s best known for from time to time in order to take on a more dramatic role. We saw this in titles like Paul Thomas Anderson’s Punch-Drunk Love in 2002, James L. Brooks’ Spanglish in 2004, Mike Binder’s Reign Over Me in 2007, Judd Apatow’s Funny People in 2009, and Jason Reitman’s Men, Women & Children in 2014.
In the upcoming crime thriller Uncut Gems Sandler returns to drama, playing a jeweler in New York City who is always looking for the next big score. A24 has released an official trailer for the movie, which is the latest from brothers Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie, and you can check it out below along with more info.

Adam Sandler’s Chris Farley Song On ‘SNL’ Pays Tribute To His Late Friend and Comedian

Adam Sandler hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend, marking his first time back on the long-running NBC late-night sketch show since his 1995 firing by the network. A sore subject he addressed in his opening monologue during his song, “I Was Fired.”
The humorous tune, which contained a guest appearance by Chris Rock, also mentioned how his friend and co-star Chris Farley had been fired at the same time. To close the show, Sandler performed a more somber song in tribute to Farley, who died in 1997 of a drug overdose at age 33.
Watch the performances for both songs here below, along with other videos from the episode.

Adam Sandler’s ‘Pixels’ Gets The Honest Trailers Treatment

I have to be honest; I did not see Pixels. I saw the preview and thought it looked like a great idea and a lot of fun, but then I remembered one thing. Adam Sandler hasn’t been in a live-action comedy I actually enjoyed since Bedtime Stories in 2008 almost a decade ago… and seriously, if I didn’t have small kids, I probably would’ve skipped that one too. Adam Sandler has gone from one of Hollywood’s can’t miss comedic actors, to being relegated to direct to Netflix “comedies†like The Ridiculous Six and most recently The Do-Over. He’s an easy target for sarcasm and ridicule, and thus we get an Honest Trailer for his 2015 critical flop Pixels by the gang at Screen Junkies.
Check out the Honest Trailer below.

Adam Sandler Shared Universe Explained By Crazy Person (Video)

After Marvel’s tremendous success with characters like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and Hulk sharing a cinematic universe, many other studios have been trying mimic that success such as Warner Brothers with their DC Comics characters, Paramount with Transformers, and Universal with their classic monsters.
One individual you wouldn’t associate a shared cinematic universe with is Adam Sandler. But according to one fairly insane individual (insane in this video, not in real life…we think), Sandler already has a shared universe and it’s been going for a long time now. To back it up they lay it all out on the table with proof in the form of clips and more.
You can check out the video below.

‘Hotel Transylvania 2’ Trailer: Get Ready For Another Hot Comedy With The Drac Pack

The first Hotel Transylvania film showed that the most frightening monsters in cinema and literature can be human. Raising a family isn’t easy, especially when there are rebellious teenagers driving you mad.
Hotel Transylvania 2 is a continuation of the first film, and in the first trailer we get to see Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler) acting like a momma bird by teaching his grandson how to fly by tossing him off a tower in hopes that instinct will kick in and he’ll transform into a bat despite being half human. Of course if you are a fan of the first film, you probably know how this will all end up. Watch the first trailer for Hotel Transylvania 2 after the jump.

Trailer For Adam Sandler Dramedy ‘The Cobbler’ Released

Every once in a while Adam Sandler steps away from his usual movies, the lighthearted rom-coms and goofy stuff, and does something more dramatic such as Punch Drunk Love, Reign Over Me, and so on.
When it comes to one of his latest projects, titled The Cobbler, things are a little bit different. The movie’s premise sounds like something you’d expect to see Sandler in (a cobbler discovers he can put on the shoes of others and become them!), but the thing here is that, while still clearly a comedy, it’s delivered a little more seriously, with Sandler seemingly using his more serious actor side for at least a chunk of it. Whether this is a good thing or a bad thing remains to be seen, but you can see the trailer for yourself below.
