| ‘Uncut Gems’ Trailer: Adam Sandler Returns To Drama In Latest From The Safdie Brothers
As many of you are aware, Adam Sandler will step away from making the comedy flicks that he’s best known for from time to time in order to take on a more dramatic role. We saw this in titles like Paul Thomas Anderson’s Punch-Drunk Love in 2002, James L. Brooks’ Spanglish in 2004, Mike Binder’s Reign Over Me in 2007, Judd Apatow’s Funny People in 2009, and Jason Reitman’s Men, Women & Children in 2014. In the upcoming crime thriller Uncut Gems Sandler returns to drama, playing a jeweler in New York City who is always looking for the next big score. A24 has released an official trailer for the movie, which is the latest from brothers Josh Safdie and Benny Safdie, and you can check it out below along with more info.

| ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ Video Answers Big Fan Question
After twenty long years, a sequel to 1996’s Independence Day is set to arrive in theaters in just a few days. Some familiar faces from the original movie have returned for the sequel, which is titled Independence Day: Resurgence, including Dr. Brackish Okun (played by Brent Spiner). There’s only one fairly large problem with that: most people watching ID4 back in ’96, myself included, thought that Dr. Okun met a most unpleasant demise after being used as a human ventriloquist puppet by one of the aliens. But as we’ve seen in the various trailers and TV spots for the movie, there he is, alive and well! But instead of making you wait to actually see the movie to find out how that’s possible, 20th Century Fox has released a new video that actually explains what happened to Dr. Okun. You can check it out below.

|
The much anticipated trailer for the trailer for Independence Day sequel Independence Day: Resurgence has finally arrived. Twenty years after the first film became a hit, director Roland Emmerich is back for some more, and he is bringing with him a few familiar faces to the franchise. Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Brent Spiner, Judd Hirsch, and Vivica A. Fox all return to reprise their respective roles. Will Smith is noticeably absent from the sequel – and the reason why is explained in the trailer – but his character’s son will be played by Jessie Usher. So how much as changed since the events? Well, it appears that the world has adapted the technology used by the aliens to enhance military capabilities. But that is nothing compared to what’s coming when the aliens suddenly return in full forced with a far more advanced technology than the ones they saw back in 1996. Check out the first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence here below.
