Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows
Director: Dave Green
Screenwriter: Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec
Cast: Megan Fox, Stephen Amell, Will Arnett, Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Gary Anthony Williams, Stephen Farrelly, Brian Tee, Tyler Perry, Laura Linney
Distributor: Paramount Pictures
Rated PG-13 | 112 Minutes
Release Date: June 3, 2016
I gave Jonathan Liebesman’s 2014 film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a pretty definitive thumbs-down:
“I wish someone had regarded this movie as something more than an opportunity to sell action figures and create product placement opportunities for Pizza Hut and Orange Crush. I wish someone involved would’ve given at least one shit – but of course we’re talking about the same people who churn out brain-dead Transformers movies filled with racist stereotypes and giant robots with wrecking balls for testicles.”
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows does something its predecessor didn’t. It tries. Is it successful? Not entirely, but at least Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes are making an effort to deliver an experience fans of Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman‘s beloved characters can appreciate.

‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ Trailer: It’s Definitely Bigger Than The Last One
|
 |

The much anticipated trailer for the trailer for Independence Day sequel Independence Day: Resurgence has finally arrived. Twenty years after the first film became a hit, director Roland Emmerich is back for some more, and he is bringing with him a few familiar faces to the franchise. Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Brent Spiner, Judd Hirsch, and Vivica A. Fox all return to reprise their respective roles. Will Smith is noticeably absent from the sequel – and the reason why is explained in the trailer – but his character’s son will be played by Jessie Usher.
So how much as changed since the events? Well, it appears that the world has adapted the technology used by the aliens to enhance military capabilities. But that is nothing compared to what’s coming when the aliens suddenly return in full forced with a far more advanced technology than the ones they saw back in 1996. Check out the first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence here below.

William Fichtner Confirms He’s Playing Shredder In Michael Bay’s ‘Ninja Turtles’

Back when we found out that William Fichtner, the character actor known for roles in movies like Armageddon, Black Hawk Down, The Dark Knight, and upcoming titles The Lone Ranger and Elysium, had joined the cast of producer Michael Bay and director Jonathan Liebesman‘s new take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, many wondered who he might be playing.
The popular guess was the villain Shredder, even though he was of Japanese descent in the original. Another possibility was Casey Jones, the hockey mask-wearing vigilante. But Fichtner himself, in a recent interview, has confirmed that he is in fact playing Shredder.
