| Official Trailer For ‘The Christmas Chronicles’ Starring Kurt Russell As Santa Claus Released
Last month Netflix released a teaser trailer for their upcoming holiday flick The Christmas Chronicles, which stars Kurt Russell as Santa Claus. The movie follows a brother and sister attempting to capture proof of Santa on film, which ends up leading them on an unexpected adventure. It comes from producer Chris Columbus and director Clay Kaytis, and Darby Camp and Judah Lewis also star alongside Russell. Now an official trailer for the movie has been released ahead of its arrival on the streaming service later this month. | Chris Columbus Offers Update On ‘Gremlins 3,’ ‘Goonies 2’
The Goonies and Gremlins screenwriter Chris Columbus recently offered brief updates on the current status of two sequels we’ve been hearing about for many years now, Gremlins 3 and The Goonies 2. While things aren’t looking great for a Goonies sequel at the moment, Columbus confirmed that he and his production company 1492 Pictures are “actively talking” about a new Gremlins movie. | Kurt Russell Set To Play Santa Claus In Netflix Holiday Movie
Netflix has a new holiday flick on the way, and they’ve grabbed The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, Tombstone, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 star Kurt Russell to play Saint Nick himself, Santa Claus. The movie doesn’t have a title yet, but will follow a pair of siblings who decide to prove Santa exists by catching him on camera. Instead, they end up accidentally causing Santa to crash his sleigh, and must help to save Christmas.

| ‘Gremlins 3’: Chris Columbus Talks “Twisted and Dark” Script, CGI
Technically, Gremlins 3 isn’t happening for sure just yet. But it is something that’s been in development for a while now. At least some form of it, anyway, whether that be a new sequel or a remake. The script is written by original screenwriter Chris Columbus, who also penned The Goonies and would go on to direct Adventures in Babysitting, Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
