| Alvin Lee, Rock Guitarist For Ten Years After, Dead At 68 |

Alvin Lee, one of the unsung guitar players from the late 1960s, whose absolutely blazing work in the British band Ten Years After endeared him and solidified his niche to the hard rock/electric blues scene of that era, has died at the age of 68, according to his official website. Lee, who made an art out of playing his guitar with a hyper fast yet with an extremely passionate bluesy soul style, will truly go down as one of the greats of all time, even though he never really was a household name in musical circles. Usurped for the most part by his peers like Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Ritchie Blackmore, and the like, Alvin Lee really stood in a class by himself. Combining all the elements of the aforementioned men and amplifying old blues artists and their respective styles like Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, and early rock pioneer Chuck Berry, Alvin Lee brought a twofold sensibility to rock and roll; he took the past and contemporized it in the present.

The Bionic Man #17 is a terrific action-adventure comic that totally works. Yes, almost every comic has action, but sometimes it’s hard to pull off. Thanks to the creative team, there are NO problems here. Aaron Gillespie‘s writing is quickly improving with each issue. I don’t think he’s ever been a bad writer on this title, but some of his previous issues were a little lacking in the action department. That’s not the case here and #17 is pretty much wall to wall action and excitement. It’s got all the hallmarks of The Six Million Dollar Man TV series, just set in modern times and having Steve dealing with real world situations that are going on now. Great stuff!

| Chocolate Zombie Bunny Returns For Easter
Each year when the Easter season rolls around and people run out to get their children their very own bunnies only to then return or abandon them after the holiday when the novelty wears off, I encourage people to say “Make Mine Chocolate” – which means, if you want to give a bunny, make it a chocolate one! Thanks to Think Geek, this Easter I can say “Make Mine A Chocolate Zombie Bunny! This 8-ounce Chocolate Zombie Bunny is made of solid white chocolate and may or may not infect you with a zombie virus, but I think it will be safe to pass it around to the children this Easter.

| Jon Stewart To Take The Summer Off From ‘The Daily Show’
If you’re one of those people who feel lost whenever Jon Stewart‘s Comedy Central news show The Daily Show goes on break for a couple of weeks, get ready for a much lengthier break…sort of. It’s being reported that Stewart will be taking the summer off from hosting the show—about twelve weeks when it’s all said and done—but it won’t be a vacation spent lounging around on a tropical island somewhere. Stewart is taking the time off to make his debut as a feature film director on a movie titled Rosewater.
