Lin-Manuel Miranda Narrates ‘Drunk History’ Hamilton Episode (Clip)

The Tony-winning Broadway musical Hamilton is a smash hit that recently set the record for most money grossed in a week on Broadway ($3.3 million for 8 performances in one week). The show’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has become synonymous with Alexander Hamilton since singlehandedly bringing the American political figure to the forefront of pop culture. So, you can imagine that having Miranda narrate an Alexander Hamilton-themed episode of Drunk History is a pretty big deal.
Hosted by Derek Waters, Episode 4.10 “Hamilton” of the Comedy Central show airs today, November 29 at 10:30/9:30c, and sees Miranda quite drunkenly and humorously providing a brief history of the Founding Father’s personal and political life, and his first and last meetings with Aaron Burr.
Check out a clip from the episode here below.

Blu-ray Review: South Park Season 19

South Park
Season 19
Blu-ray | DVD | Digital
Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone
Studio: Comedy Central
Release Date: September 6, 2016
For nearly twenty years, South Park has forced the world to walk on eggshells. Famous for its non-PC, ultra-controversial take on pop culture and world events, the animated Comedy Central series from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone lets no one get away from a weekly 30-minute roasting in cartoon form. Everyone and everything from Mel Gibson and Scientology, to racism, politics, and foreign affairs have been tackled and put to task. What was left for them to do? What new direction could they possibly take? For the first time in the show’s history, the 19th season was entirely serialized, all focusing on a new principal’s takeover of South Park Elementary and the town’s movement towards a wholly PC attitude.

Farewell, Jon Stewart: The Last ‘Daily Show’

I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, in a family that ritualistically watched ABC’s World News Tonight with Peter Jennings. I loved history and journalism, and ended up teaching high school level history. The calming, straight forward, no nonsense, nonpartisan news days have long since passed. With the advent and expansion of cable news, and the big money filing in, it’s incredibly difficult to find real, genuine news. As channels like Fox News went over-the-top conservative, stations like MSNBC had to hit back equally to the left. 16 years ago a phoenix rose over the garbage heap of the phony “real†news and gave us the greatest fake news show ever. 16 years after taking over for Craig Kilborn, Jon Stewart left The Daily Show last night, in perfect circumstances… as the Republicans were holding their first Presidential debates on Fox News.

Weird Al Performs “Yoda” With 13-Year-Old Autistic Girl At Night Of Too Many Stars (Video)

Weird Al Yankovic has been my favorite musical performer since I was in single digits. He was my first concert at age 13. And he’s managed to stay relevant, and record over a dozen albums in the past 35 years. He also happens to be one of the classiest people in show business.
At Comedy Central’s Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together for Autism Programs live charity telethon on Sunday night, a 13-year-old autistic girl, Jodi DiPiazza, performed with the parody artist to his hit song “Yoda” (a parody of The Kinks hit “Lola”).
Watch the performance in the video here below.

‘Happy Gilmore’s Adam Sandler and Bob Barker Reunite For ‘Night Of Too Many Stars’ (Video)

Adam Sandler‘s altercation with legendary TV game show host Bob Barker was probably the most memorable part of the 1996 comedy film Happy Gilmore, which saw Sandler’s title character as a hot-headed hockey player who enters a pro golf tour to win money to save his grandmother’s home. At one of the tournaments, Happy is paired with Bob Barker and an hilarious rumble ensues.
Now, the former partners have put aside their nearly two-decade-long grudge to come together for Night of Too Many Stars, the Comedy Central live telethon to benefit autism. Check out the video of their reunion here below and stay through til the end, because this is come real good stuff!
