Have you missed the good ole days of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on TV, as we deal with our Scooby gang dealing with the monster of the week along with an overarching storyline? Well I have some good news for you: there is something out there to whet your whistle. How about we add some over the top gore and humor to the mix — think along the lines of Hot Fuzz/Shaun of the Dead — with an added dash of stoner buddies and heavy metal. Well I can say that Todd and the Book of Evil, is a nice mix of all those things and more.

The show is a Canadian TV show that I first heard about while browsing through an issue of Geek Magazine. It’s based on a 18-minute short that was directed by Craig David Wallace, and written by Wallace and Max Reid. And luckily for those that can wait, guess what’s on Netflix Watch Instantly? I am guessing it was edited for TV, strong language, and more, but luckily it’s all there on Netflix.

Has HBO Already Greenlighted ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 4?

Game of Thrones Dragon Shadow Image

When it comes to HBO greenlighting new seasons of their shows, an announcement doesn’t usually come until the current season gets going and the network can see how the numbers are looking. This also goes for Game of Thrones, especially given the show’s massive budget.

That said, everyone has assumed that a season four of the show based on George R.R. Martin‘s “A Song of Ice and Fire” book series has been locked in for a while now, despite no official confirmation yet. This is because not only is it one of the most popular series on TV, but because season three—which premieres on March 31st—only covers half of the massive third book in the series, A Storm of Swords, while the first two seasons covered the first two books in their entirety.

Now, according to one of the actors on the show, it’s looking more and more likely that the waiting is just procedure.

Iron Man 3 Header

Marvel Studios’ Phase 2 begins with the movie that launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe to where it is now; Iron Man 3 opens in theaters May 3, and notable faces like Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Don Cheadle return to reprise their roles from the previous film. But instead of Jon Favearu directing, Shane Black takes the helm to direct what Kevin Feige calls “a political thriller.” So to see how that theme fits into the third installment of the Iron Man film franchise, you will just have to hit the jump.

The atmosphere of the planet destroys most of their technology and the crew members find themselves in the middle of centuries-old conflict between several alien races. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Image

There’s no slowing down Ubisoft when it comes to their Assassin’s Creed franchise, but it appears that they’ve learned their lesson when it comes to doing sub-sequels. Instead of keeping a character around for a few games as they did with Ezio Auditore in Assassin’s Creed II and its two sequels, they’re going to move right from the American Revolution in Assassin’s Creed III to brand new waters with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

And as you may have guessed, the game will delve into the world of pirates! The dirty but always entertaining rum-guzzling kind. You can check out the first trailer for Black Flag below now.
