It’s happening again, my week is just overloaded with all things awesome. So today I’m sharing a bit of that awesome with you in the form of a preview of IDW Publishing‘s new release from R.A. Salvatore and Geno Salvatore. Dungeons & Dragons: Cutter #1, which comes out on April 10, 2013, is a shining example of everything you’ve come to know and love from the Salvatores and IDW.
Here below, check out the 10-page preview of Dungeons & Dragons: Cutter #1 that IDW recently released.
My commentary is nothing in comparison to what R.A. Salvatore had to say about the new miniseries…
“These comic series have become a wonderful tool for me to fill in the blanks and to crystallize my thoughts on the Legend of Drizzt novels going forward. The fallout from the twisting events in Neverwinter Tales not only came into play in the last couple of Drizzt books, but allowed me a strong plot line for an upcoming novel I’ve yet to pen. The same is true for Cutter – I see it already. So while these comic stories are self-contained, they open up to the wider stories going forward.”
David Baldeon is handling the art for this 5-issue mini-series and Steve Ellis has the covers…well, he has them covered (pun intended). No matter how you slice it (yes, another pun…get over it) Cutter should be a fun ride. The first issue drops on April 10, so make sure to hit up your local comic book shop to get one, or pre-order a copy online.
Here’s the official synopsis for Cutter #1:
Tierflin and Doum’weille are half-Drow siblings, locked in competition for the ownership of the bloodthirsty sword Khazid’hea-the Cutter! Their father, the Drow renegade Tos’un-a veteran of battles against the Kingdom of Many-Arrows-is forced to choose his heir. . . but what does the powerful sword have to say on the subject?
