Casting for director Michael Bay‘s upcoming Transformers 4 continues, with the announcement of actress Li Bingbing.

Bingbing is a Chinese actress who has appeared in a number of titles over the years, including The Forbidden Kingdom, 1911, and her recent jump to Hollywood for Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil: Retribution, where she played Ada Wong.

It’s not yet known who the actress will be playing, only that she’ll be one of many new characters in a movie that’s supposedly not connected to the previous entries. She joins a cast that includes Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Kelsey Grammer, and Stanley Tucci

Transformers 4 is currently scheduled for a June 27, 2014 release date.
