A new video featurette has been released for The World’s End, the upcoming movie from director Edgar Wright and stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. For those who are unaware, the movie is the third entry in the impromptu Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy, also known as the Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy, which also includes Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

The video is a little over five minutes in length, and features the film’s cast and crew talking about how the trilogy came to be, as well as some of the things that join the three different movies with different stories and characters into one trilogy.

I can’t tell you how many coming-of-age fantasy stories I’ve read in which the young hero is granted or somehow miraculously receives a special power that will help him or her eventually save a kingdom or even a world. This time, it was different. I devoured screenwriter and former film critic C. In a move to continue growing the size and diversity of their comic book output, BOOM! Studios has announced today that they have merged their operations with Archaia Entertainment. The Archaia brand will live on as an imprint of BOOM! Studios, join their normal line, as well as the KaBOOM! line designed for all-ages books. Today’s announcement declares that this move gives BOOM! the largest independent company-controlled comic book catalog (Image doesn’t count since individual creators maintain ownership under Image, that’s kind of their thing).

BOOM! Studios have been steadily expanding for years, adding original series to their licensed comics. They have had a number of great creators working for them, from Frank Miller and Mark Waid to Paul Jenkins and Brian Stelfreeze. They are currently riding high on a series of successful tie-ins to some Cartoon Network properties, notably their line of Adventure Time books.

Whether you want it to or not, Taken 3 is happening. Taken brought in an impressive $226 million on only a $25 million budget, while Taken 2 landed $376 million on a $45 million budget. Another movie was simply inevitable…so long as the particular set of talents possessed by Liam Neeson could once again be secured.

The actor is said to have been reluctant to return for the second installment of the action franchise, which began with Neeson heading to France to find his kidnapped daughter. But everyone has a price, and a $15 million pay day was too much to decline. Meaning in order to reacquire the actor for a third go of it, a pay raise would be necessary.

According to sources, Neeson will be paid around $20 million to return for Taken 3, and the hope is to begin filming sometime in February.

Back when we found out that William Fichtner, the character actor known for roles in movies like Armageddon, Black Hawk Down, The Dark Knight, and upcoming titles The Lone Ranger and Elysium, had joined the cast of producer Michael Bay and director Jonathan Liebesman‘s new take on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, many wondered who he might be playing.

The popular guess was the villain Shredder, even though he was of Japanese descent in the original. Another possibility was Casey Jones, the hockey mask-wearing vigilante. But Fichtner himself, in a recent interview, has confirmed that he is in fact playing Shredder.
