The first trailer for Alfonso Cuarón had many on the edge of their seats, now just days after the director and Sandra Bullock stopped by to present new footage from the film at the Gravity panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Brothers released a brand new trailer, or a clip as some may call it.
The new trailer focuses on two astronauts (played by Bullock and George Clooney) and the disaster that befalls the crew of a space shuttle orbiting over Earth.

The trailer isn’t as focused on the ominous beauty of earth and the impending catastrophe that awaits them, instead it goes straight for the chaos. We see just how real the danger is for these characters and the incredible one-shot take of Bullock being hurled around as she desperately tries to detach herself from an arm that is drifting away into the space.
This is actually a shorter version of what was presented at Comic-Con this past weekend. You can read our full review of the panel here. Regardless of the length, the clip gives you an idea of what to expect from Cuarón’s upcoming directorial effort.
SYNOPSIS:
Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone–tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth”¦and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.
Gravity opens in theaters on October 4, 2013.
