Last week, Ian McKellen officiated at the wedding of his X-Men co-star, Patrick Stewart.

This weekend, the duo were out on the streets of New York City at the theater mecca of the world, Times Square, where they’re soon to begin their Broadway stint together in two plays, Harold Pinter’s No Man’s Land and Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot.

Stewart tweeted a photo of himself and McKellen in Times Square with Elmo, one of the many unlicensed cartoon characters trolling the NYC streets for tips from tourists they take photos with.
