– After the original actor playing the dwarf Fili, Rob Kazinsky (True Blood), had to drop out of the movie early on, Dean O’Gorman was cast, but he missed out on the “Dwarf Boot Camp” that the other actors went through to prepare for all the physical requirements of the roles.
