It’s been a long time since we got to see that Comic-Con teaser footage for Godzilla, the remake from Legendary Pictures.

Today, Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. have released a two-minute teaser trailer for the film. Watch it here below!

Godzilla, which is directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters) and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, and Bryan Cranston, hits theaters on May 16, 2014.

Godzilla is officially terrifying. The new trailer is rife with heavy breathing, eerie, high-pitched music, and a path of destruction akin to a nuclear explosion. This looks like the Godzilla we’ve all been waiting for.
