D23 Expo 2019: ‘WandaVision’ Is Half Sitcom and Half Epic Marvel Adventure

Marvel Studios’ Disney+ shows will be an extension of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, more so than what Marvel Television has been in the past. These shows will be directly connected to the MCU. Some might even lead into films, like WandaVision. The series will bring back Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany as Vision.
Based on what we’ve heard in the past, the series will have a ’50s vibe to it. At the time, it was unclear what that meant. However, while at the D23 Expo Kevin Feige and director Matt Shakman, as well as Olsen and Bettany, took to the stage to give attendees an idea of what to expect and share a few more surprises as well. Like the additions of Kat Dennings (Thor) and Randall Park (Ant-Man and the Wasp), both of whom will be reprising their respective roles as Darcy and Agent Jimmy Woo. More on the report below.

SDCC 2019: ‘WandaVision’ Will Be “Exciting and Different and Strange”

When WandaVision was first announced as a show that would appear only on Disney+, Disney’s exclusive streaming service, many wondered when and where the story following Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) would take place.
Well, we really can’t expect to get any answers from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who was at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about the upcoming series. However, he did drop a few hints about the tone of the show and how it will fit into the MCU. More on all of this below.

‘Falcon and Winter Soldier’ and ‘WandaVision’ Confirmed For Disney+
|
 |

For a long time, we’ve heard about how the Marvel Cinematic Universe will expand into television on Disney’s streaming subscription service, Disney+. One of the first shows to be announced was Loki, which would star Tom Hiddleston as the titular character on a show that would have Quantum Leap vibes. Next up, Falcon and Winter Soldier, and Scarlet Witch and Vision. These would focus on these pairs in new stories that would take place after Avengers: Endgame. Additionally, there would be Marvel Studios’ first animated show called What If, and the newly announced Hawkeye show that will bring back Jeremy Renner to play the title character who will teach Kate Bishop how to be an Avengers archer.
Now, during an investors meeting, Disney confirmed that Falcon and Winter Soldier, and the Scarlet Witch and Vision show which is now being called WandaVision, are being added to their Marvel Studios television lineup. More on the report below.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Ending Is Real; ‘Avengers 4’ Will Have Surprises

A lot of us are still reeling after the ending of Avengers: Infinity War. With a massive superhero ensemble like this, we knew there would be some casualties, but I don’t think any of us were prepared for what Marvel gave us. Obviously, the upcoming sequel will have some of the heroes who didn’t appear in Infinity War make an appearance in Avengers 4, even a certain hero who could only be reached via retro technology. So as many of us are still coping, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely are talking about how Avengers 4 will not reverse what was done in Infinity War. That ending was real and permanent, they say. But we can expect to see some surprises in Avengers 4. Check out what the two had to say here below.
Warning: major spoilers ahead, so if you haven’t seen the film, I suggest you do not continue reading on any further.

It has been ten long years since Marvel Studios began its comic book movie journey. Starting the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), we have now reached Avengers: Infinity War, a one of a kind superhero ensemble film so big that it takes heroes from across the globe and the galaxy to defend and protect all life from the likes of Thanos (Josh Brolin), a powerful force who is gathering six Infinity Stones together, so that he may use them to wipe out half of humanity and bring forth balance to the universe.
Though some of these ensemble superhero films may be too big for their own good, Avengers: Infinity War finds a way to make it work. The chemistry between the cast is almost perfect, the action is superb, and the scope of the film is epic. This film is the embodiment of the can’t-miss summer movie event. And what makes this so much more different than its 18 predecessors is that it is able to make the balancing act work.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Interview: Avengers, Guardians, and One Unimpressed Thanos
|
 |

Avengers: Infinity War is a culmination of 10 years of Marvel Studios films. In the past 18 films that they have released, we’ve seen heroes defend the Earth and the Galaxy from demi-gods, highly intelligent robots, and themselves. Now it all culminates in this one massive event that brings the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy together to defend it against the Mad Titan, himself, Thanos.
We were invited to sit down with our fellow journalists to talk to the cast, directors Anthony and Joe Russo, and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about the film. But the thing is, no one had actually seen the film, at least as of this post. So there were really no questions the press could work off of other than the trailers and what has already been reported on.
But one thing we know is going to happen is that Thanos is coming, and it’s going to take one giant superheroic collective effort to stop him. So, what can we expect to see from the two groups who will have to stop Thanos from wiping out half of humanity? Who will live? Who will die? Does Thanos actually consider the Avengers and Guardians an actual threat? Check out what they had to say here below.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’: Cast Of Thanos’ Black Order Partially Revealed

We all know that the cast of Avengers: Infinity War is big. But it still manages to find a way to increase its numbers. While we knew that there would be at least 22 heroes in the film, we didn’t know about who would be playing Thanos’ Black Order. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo had kept the identities of the actors a secret for some time. But now that is over. In a new interview, the Russos confirm Carrie Coon (Fargo Season 3, The Leftovers), Terry Notary (Planet of the Apes, The Hobbit trilogy), and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor have joined the cast as Thanos’ Black Order. Find out who they will play in the full story here below.

Marvel Videos: ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ “Family” Featurette and Celebrating 10 Years Of Fandom

It’s hard to believe that Marvel Studios has gotten to the point where they’ve released 18 films. Within that stretch, there were more than a handful of ensembles, and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War is a culmination of everything the studio has worked so hard to achieve. As many of us know, all good things must come to an end. Sadly, the film will mark the end for many of the actors since a lot of their contracts are done. But that won’t stop them from enjoying their final moments.
Marvel Studios has released a few new videos that celebrate everything that they have accomplished so far with the help of their fans and another that focuses on the familial bonds that were forged throughout the ten years. Check it all out below.
