‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Trailer: Building A Better World By Tearing The Old One Down

Captain America: The Winter Soldier feature banner

It’s a bit ironic that the first trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes a couple of days after the end of the U.S. government shutdown. We see our hero, Captain America (Chris Evans), continuing to struggle living in the contemporary world. Though he still has that classic 1940’s charm and sentiment, Captain America is now fully realizing how dangerous secret government agencies can really be when corrupt bureaucrats and politicians have agendas and motivations they are pushing for. On top of that, there is a dangerous assassin on the loose who bares a striking resemblance to a fallen friend.

There is a lot to take in, but one thing is clear, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is going to be one very exciting film. Hit the jump to see the new trailer.

Daryl Dixon Walking Dead action figure banner

McFarlane Toys has created an insanely detailed Walking Dead Daryl Dixon Deluxe Action Figure, which will be available next month and is up for pre-order right now.

Norman Reedus, who plays the badass crossbow-wielding Daryl Dixon on the AMC hit television series The Walking Dead, posed for McFarlane Toys in a 3D printer for this highly-detailed 10-inch Daryl action figure, so it actually bears an uncanny likeness to the actor. The figure features Daryl in his angel wings stitched biker vest with removable poncho, hunting knife, and crossbow, all in a deluxe boxed packaging.

Check out photos of the Daryl Dixon action figure here below, and be sure to pre-order yours now! The item will be released on November 18, 2013.

Who here hasn’t dreamed of having a superpower? Even if you won’t admit it, everyone wishes that could do something so unique and spectacular that it would set them apart from the average human. Now what if you could have a power, randomly chosen, would you do it? What if the downside is that you would only have six months to live? Not so enthusiastic about it now, are you? Well, that’s the premise to Death Sentence #1. Because of a new virus, called G-Plus, random individuals have been given a power that is slowly killing them.

Our story focuses on a few seemingly unrelated people who have all been recently diagnosed with the virus. We start off with Verity, an introverted graphic artist who is being given the diagnosis on the first page of the comic. We move quickly on to Weasel, a not-so-talented rock star who has a habit of wearing a flying helmet and goggles regardless of the activity involved. He’s also a bit preoccupied with having random sex with his groupies. Lastly, we have Monty. He seems a bit narcissistic but more crowd focused in that he plays to them in everything he does.

Ellen Staff In Walking Dead Haunted House

There’s probably not a whole lot of geeks tuning into Ellen Degeneres‘s talk show The Ellen Degeneres Show each day, but there are swarms of them tuning into AMC’s The Walking Dead each week.

Each year in October Ellen sends one of her writers through a haunted house because, you know, people getting the crap scared out of them is pure entertainment gold. This year Ellen sent an executive producer along with her writer to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to check out their Walking Dead-themed haunted house, and of course, hilarity ensued.

You can see the video of their experience below.
