| First 12 Issues For Free Comic Book Day 2014 Announced
Free Comic Book Day has become a yearly tradition in comic book stores as they entice current and potential new readers alike with the lure of, as the day so accurately proclaims, a stack of free comics to try out. These titles represent most of the major comic book publishers and a cross-section of genres and age appropriateness. The Free Comic Book Day committee have selected and announced the twelve issues that have been awarded the Gold Sponsor level. Dan Manser, FCBD spokesperson, noted “this year’s Gold Sponsors are comprised of the top publishers in the comics industry we we’re sure that fans will be pleased with the line-up.” The full list of Gold Sponsor issues can be found below.

| Disney’s ‘Descendants’: A New Live-Action TV Movie Featuring Offspring Of Classic Disney Characters |

It’s official: Disney has announced the development of an original television movie called Descendants based on the teenage children of several fan-favorite villains. And with the ever-popular fairytale genre in both TV and film (Once Upon A Time, Grimm, Snow White and the Huntsman, the forthcoming Maleficent, among a multitude of others), why not? The movie will be directed by Kenny Ortega, who’s worked with Disney in the past on projects like Hocus Pocus and the High School Musical movies, and written by Josann McGibbon and Sara Parriott (Runaway Bride, Desperate Housewives), with a 2015 Disney Channel premiere planned. | Peter O’Toole, ‘Lawrence Of Arabia’ Star, Dead At 81 |

Peter O’Toole, the consummate English actor, whose charm and effortless grace endeared him to generations of film audiences, has died in a hospital in London after a long battle with stomach cancer, reports ABC News. He was 81 The actor may best be remembered for his role in Lawrence of Arabia, playing the titular character with a tongue in cheek confidence which netted O’Toole superstardom. He followed that up with with other key characters in The Lion in Winter; the swashbuckling alcoholic charismatic actor who becomes a deer in the headlights as he’s forced to accept performing on 1950’s live television in My Favorite Year; and especially The Stunt Man, in which if Robert De Niro hadn’t turned in an equally dazzling performance that same year in Raging Bull (which won him the Oscar), O’Toole would have netted Academy Gold. In fact, O’Toole never won a Best Actor Oscar Award proper, after being nominated for the Tinseltown prize eight times. In 2003, however, the honorary Oscar was bestowed upon the charismatic actor.
