Last month news was finally made public that Israeli actress Gal Gadot had been signed on to play Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder’s upcoming sequel to Man of Steel. It has now been revealed that Gadot received a three-picture deal to play the superhero as part of that signing contract.
On the Israeli news show Good Evening With Gai Pines, Gadot revealed the three-picture deal would have her play Wonder Woman not only in the still untitled Batman vs Superman movie, but also in a Justice League movie and a standalone Wonder Woman movie.
Now, this certainly doesn’t guarantee that these movies will ever be made, but it does put Gadot in a very strong position to play the role depending on how audiences react to her performance. Fan reaction could certainly go a long way in getting the Wonder Woman movie off the ground at the very least.
But first, we’ll have to see what Gadot brings to the screen in her Wonder Woman debut during Batman vs Superman, which has been pushed back to be released May 6th, 2016.
