Jai Courtney, star of the Starz series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and the most recent Die Hard flick with Bruce Willis, has been chosen to play the role of Kyle Reese in the upcoming Terminator reboot.

The reboot is being planned as its own trilogy, with the first movie said to be titled Terminator: Genesis.

Courtney joins a cast that already features Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke as John Connor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to one of the franchises that he’s best known for.

Courtney tries his hand in the Kyle Reese role first played by Michael Biehn in the 1984 original Terminator, which was directed by James Cameron.

Terminator: Genesis is set to be helmed by Thor: The Dark World and Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor.

Courtney was recently seen in I, Frankenstein and can next be seen in Divergent.
