| ‘Terminator Genisys’ Trailer: We Take Back Our WorldThe Terminator franchise prided itself in having killer robots sent from the future attempting to kill the future leader of the resistance. Let’s not forget the interesting family dynamic. This has been the premise for at least four of the Terminator films. The fifth, Terminator Genysis, see Kyle Reese go back to the past once again, but Sarah Connor and the Terminator already anticipated his return. We’ve already seen one trailer and a Super Bowl TV spot, both of which didn’t give us any real context. However, a new trailer from the Alan Taylor-directed film gives more story and puts a twist in the Connor family dynamic as John is also sent back to the past, and he isn’t what he appears to be. | ‘Terminator: Genesis’ Is Actually Titled ‘Terminator: Genisys’
We all know a title says a lot about a film. It sets up the tone, anticipation, and it sometimes tells us something about the movie itself. But today’s title confirmation for the fifth Terminator film will have fans talking. The film recently wrapped shooting, and to commemorate the occasion, star Arnold Schwarzenegger took to Instagram to celebrate by announcing the official title, which was once thought to be Terminator: Genesis. The actor posted a photo confirming that the movie will instead be titled Terminator: Genisys. Hit the jump for more and to see the image.

| Jai Courtney To Play Kyle Reese In ‘Terminator: Genesis’
Jai Courtney, star of the Starz series Spartacus: Blood and Sand and the most recent Die Hard flick with Bruce Willis, has been chosen to play the role of Kyle Reese in the upcoming Terminator reboot. The reboot is being planned as its own trilogy, with the first movie said to be titled Terminator: Genesis. Courtney joins a cast that already features Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke as John Connor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to one of the franchises that he’s best known for.

| Annapurna Pictures Exits Out Of ‘Terminator: Genesis’This was always an odd pairing. When the Terminator property was up for grabs, a variety of studios were vying to purchase the name of the very lucrative franchise, namely Annapurna Pictures and Lionsgate. Megan Ellison and her Annapurna Pictures ended up beating Lionsgate for the project and soon developed a partnership with Paramount, who would help finance the project with Annapurna. They even got some of the roles cast for Terminator: Genesis. Game Of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke got the role of Sarah Connor, while Zero Dark Thirty‘s Jason Clarke is in talks to play John Connor. | ‘Terminator’ Reboot Officially Makes Emilia Clarke New Sarah Connor
Recently we found out that Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke was in talks to take on the role of John Connor in the upcoming Terminator reboot said to be titled Terminator: Genesis. At the time, the search to find the new Sarah Connor had come down to two actresses: Emilia Clarke (no relation), and Brie Larson. Now the choice has been made. It’s being reported that Emilia has officially been chosen to take on the iconic Sarah Connor role, despite being almost a couple of decades younger than the actor playing the part of her son. Little is known about the movie, but obviously you can deduce that some time jumping will be going on.
