After countless rumors, it looks as though the first official actor has been revealed for Star Wars: Episode VII, the highly anticipated next chapter in the franchise being directed by J.J. Abrams.

According to Variety, Girls star Adam Driver is nearing a deal to join the cast. Details about who exactly Driver will play are unknown, though it is said that it will be a villain in “the same vein as Darth Vader.”

Driver is a name that has been among those rumored to be in the running for a role in the movie, and recently became Disney and Lucasfilm’s top pick to play the main villain. Making things official has been a little trickier, however, as scheduling around the actor’s schedule for the hit HBO series now and in the future had to be worked out.

Star Wars: Episode VII is currently schedule for release on December 18, 2015.
