A pair of HBO’s 30-minute original comedy series have officially been given new seasons.
Silicon Valley, the new series from Office Space director and Beavis and Butt-Head and King of the Hill creator Mike Judge, has been given a second season order. The show follows a group of programmers trying to make it big in Silicon Valley, and is partially inspired by Judge’s own experiences working there as an engineer in the ’80s.
Also getting a new season is Veep, the political satire created by Academy Award-nominated co-writer of In The Loop Armando Iannucci and starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who has won two Emmys, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Critic’s Choice Television Award for her performance as a vice president of the United States of America who finds that the job is not what she expected it to be.
Both the first season of Silicon Valley and the third season of Veep are currently airing on HBO.
