Yesterday marked the beginning of principal photography for Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man, and we already have our very first photo from the film courtesy of USA Today. The film is shooting in San Fransisco before heading out to Atlanta.
Hit the jump to see the first full image of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang.
They certainly got the thief look down with Rudd looking ratty and beat up. Other than that, there is not too much to this photo.
Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
Directed by Peyton Reed, Ant-Man also stars Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Abby Ryder Fortson, Judy Greer, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, John Slattery, Gregg Turkington, and T.I.
It opens on July 17, 2015.

So old Howard Stark will be making an appearance in this (John Slattery)…so he’ll somehow be involved with young Hank Pym (a guess). Interesting.

I like the new costume. Though not as flashy as in the comics, it looks like it could fit in the real world.
