It seems like just yesterday I was reviewing the premier issue of this three-issue miniseries. Tempus fugit, right? But I am quite happy to be able to write up Mononmyth #2 for your reading pleasure. And where I thought that some pieces to the story were missing in the previous comic, this issue fills in a lot of the blanks. Spare me a few minutes and I’ll tell you all about it.

This issue begins further back than last time, back to time where we witness the archangel Uriel conversing with an unknown scribe. Unlike a common mortal scribe, however, this one’s transcriptions can be brought to life. And the consequences thereof are soon to be an issue, though it is not yet revealed in what way. I will say that once the scribe is identified, the reader is much more aware of the situation and the dangers inherent in his abilities.

Athens, Ohio’s Skeletonwitch plays a brutal brand of blackened thrash metal. Their most recent album, 2013s Serpents Unleashed made its way into many a critics year end “best of” lists, landing at #3 on mine.

Now comes a gloriously gory new clip for the song “Unending, Everliving” from that album.

If a found footage movie about Bigfoot wasn’t your cup of tea, perhaps a found footage movie set inside one of Egypt’s pyramids will tickle your fancy.

The first trailer has been released for The Pyramid, which comes from High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes [2006], Mirrors, and Piranha 3D director Alexandre Aja, and first-time director Grégory Levasseur, who worked on the screenplays for the aforementioned Aja titles.

BioWare’s Dragon Age: Inquisition was already one of the most anticipated games of the year, thanks to the massive fanbase behind the developer’s previous games in the series and, of course, the Mass Effect trilogy.

But now comes confirmation of another feature of the game that may or may not have fans even more excited, if that’s at all possible. Not only will Inquisition have the single-player campaign you’ve been anticipating for the past handful of years—one that’s said to run around 200 hours for you completionists out there—but it will also include a separate multiplayer option.
