All Cheerleaders Die is so unoriginal throughout that it somehow becomes totally original by the end. The film is co-written and directed by Lucky McKee (May, The Woman) and Chris Sivertson (I Know Who Killed Me), remaking their original debut in 2001. Despite that, it seems spliced together from footage found in the Buffy, Charmed, and I Know What You Did Last Summer editing rooms.
Once all these pieces are in place, All Cheerleaders Die somehow defies the odds; rather than becoming predictable and silly, it is a wild and crazy way to spend an hour and a half. In a movie with revenge, magic, hot vampire-zombies, and a villain who eats enchanted stones, it’s hard not to find at least something to like.

Thrashback Thursday: “Welcome To Your Funeral” By Rigor Mortis

Here with the opening track of their 1988 masterpiece debut album Rigor Mortis is Dallas/Ft. Worth’s legendary thrash unit Rigor Mortis.
Watch Rigor Mortis perform “Welcome to Your Funeral” live here below.
I chose this track this week for two reasons: first, it showcases the brilliant guitar work of Mike Scaccia (who was also in Ministry), and, second, because Rigor Mortis is set to release their first album in 25 years on October 7, 2014. The album, Slaves to the Grave, will be a bittersweet moment for fans as it will also be the band’s final album. Mike Scaccia passed away from a heart attack while performing onstage December 23, 2012. He was 47 years old. The band has decided not to continue without him.

Next month marks the 20th anniversary of the premiere of Friends, the popular television series that starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer, and ran on NBC for 10 years.
On the sitcom, the friends were often seen hanging out at their local Manhattan coffee shop, Central Perk. While the shop was fictional, Warner Bros. is now partnering up with Eight O’Clock Coffee to re-create the Central Perk coffeehouse in New York City for a limited time.
