The Hunger Games Franchise comes to an end in the final two films. Lionsgate has just released the final trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I. The film sees Katniss be the living symbol of the revolution that seeks to bring down President Snow’s tyranny. Pushed to be the leader of District 13 after witnessing the destruction of District 12, her hometown, Katniss will have to go up against President Snow and his army, as well as some old friends. By the looks of things, the first half of the Mockingjay films is the darkest we have seen, but will have the kind of entertainment that will have us hoping that the final half would come out sooner than later.

Catching Fire suffered from being the “middle film” of the franchise, so watching some of the footage here, Mockingjay looks to redeem some of those mistakes suffered in the previous film with some intense action sequences and some powerful drama. But The Hunger Games really wouldn’t be where it is today without the powerful performance from its lead actress, Jennifer Lawrence. So getting to see her accept her role as the symbol of the revolution and becoming District 13’s leader is very exciting.
As always, a film of this size will have tickets already on sale, so if you haven’t purchased them already, you might want to do that right now.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part I also stars Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Julianne Moore, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Donald Sutherland, and more. It opens in theaters on November 21.
