Another actor is up for a role in WB’s Suicide Squad, which will be the next DC Comics movie released after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

It’s being reported that Jai Courtney, star of Spartacus: Blood and Sand, A Good Day to Die Hard, Divergent, and the upcoming Terminator: Genisys, is in talks for a role in the movie that could turn out to be Batman villain Deadshot.

If all works out, Suicide Squad could have a killer cast. Other actors said to be in talks for roles include Will Smith possibly as Digger Harkness AKA Captain Boomerang, Tom Hardy as Rick Flag, Jared Leto potentially as Joker, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. There’s also a chance that Jesse Eisenberg, who will play Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, could join this project as well.

The movie is based on the DC comic of the same name, and will follow a group of supervillains who are offered a chance at redemption by the government…doing a job that will likely kill them anyway.

Suicide Squad will be written and directed by David Ayer (Fury, End of Watch), and released sometime in 2016.
