A fun little fact some of you fans of Game of Thrones might not know, is that the actor who plays the gentle giant Hodor, Kristian Nairn, is also a DJ.
Nairn has the upcoming season of Thrones off due to his storyline being further along than other characters, so he’s instead focused on an international DJ tour called “Rave of Thrones.”
The “Rave of Thrones” shows have been selling out all over, unsurprisingly. Thankfully, if you’re not able to make it to one, you can now get an idea of what it’s like. A video has been uploaded of how the event kicks off, which involves a little pre-show LARPing, some epic music, and perhaps a certain iron throne. You can check it out below.
Thanks to YouTube user The_SoulReaver for the video, which comes from the December 3rd show at Exchange LA.
The first four minutes or so is the LARPing if you want to skip ahead. And the music that plays when Nairn first arrives is “Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor)” from John Murphy’s incredible score for Danny Boyle’s Sunshine.
