the amazing spider-man 2 andrew garfield

As expected, we are learning more about Sony’s plans to share Spider-Man with Marvel since news of the studio’s e-mail hacking scandal broke in late November. With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 underperforming at the box office, and Sinister Six and Venom spinoff films showing no signs of development, the once lucrative franchise was beginning to look more like a lost cause. So would make sense for Sony to share the character with Marvel. It’s definitely a move that would benefit both studios. But as we all know, there was a fallout, and any plans to share the webslinger never came to be.

However, had those talks ended successfully, we would have seen Spider-Man make his big Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Captain America: Civil War. But we wouldn’t see the current Spider-Man, played by Andrew Garfield, in the sequel. According to reports, this would be a different actor playing Spider-Man, who is already an established character in the MCU. Hit the jump for more.

Two of the actors coupled were Benedict Cumberbatch and Reese Witherspoon, who really steamed up the screen for their passionate, costumed embrace. Watch their scene here below.

Other actors grouped together to share a kiss were Laura Dern and Steve Carell; Rosario Dawson and Jenny Slate; Shailene Woodley and Jack O’Connell; Kristen Stewart and Chadwick Boseman; Patricia Arquette and Jason Schwartzman; David Oyelowo and Timothy Spall; Julianne Moore and John Lithgow; and Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Miles Teller. Wolves In The Throne Room Band Photo

Brothers Nathan and Aaron Weaver formed Wolves In The Throne Room in 2003 in Olympia, Washington. The band has always eschewed the traditional aesthetics of the black metal genre. Preferring a DIY approach, they generally tour with their own PA and try to avoid traditional concert venues. Torchlight is usually the only illumination and flash photography is never permitted. Going even a step further, the brothers frown upon moshing, stating that they want their show to be more of a meditative experience. Their music has been described as “eco-metal” and “astral black metal.”

“Wanderer Above The Sea Of Fog” is the opening track of Wolves In The Throne Room’s third album Black Cascade. Check it out here, below.
