Each and every week, I, “Christmas Time is here!” Henchman 21 and “Happiness and Cheer!” Empress Eve read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. Anyway, we’re back with a bunch of books out this week which don’t even include the launch of Kelly Sue DeConnick’s Bitch Planet, a new issue of Southern Bastards, or the start of Spider-Man and the X-Men. | ‘The Walk’ Trailer: Joseph Gordon-Levitt Stars As ‘Man On Wire’ High-Wire Daredevil
If you’ve seen the 2008 documentary Man on Wire, then you’re familiar with French daredevil Philippe Petit‘s high-wire walk from one of the Twin Towers in New York City to the other one morning in 1974. The stunt was unbelievable to witness, insanely dangerous, and also so very much illegal. The documentary was based on Petit’s book, To Reach the Clouds. Now Hollywood is ready to take its turn in telling this remarkable story. The first trailer has been released for The Walk, which is directed by Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Flight) and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Philippe Petit. You can read a synopsis and watch the trailer below.
