Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson has landed another hosting gig following his run leading the popular revival of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos.
Tyson is set to host Star Talk, a late-night talk show that will air on National Geographic. It’s based on his podcast of the same name, mixing science and pop culture and featuring interviews with scientists, celebrities, and comedians.
Of the announcement, Tyson said:
“Cosmos allowed us to share the awesome power of the universe with a global audience in ways that we never thought possible. To be able to continue to spread wonder and excitement through Star Talk, which is a true passion project for me, is beyond exciting. And National Geographic Channel is the perfect home as we continue to explore the universe.”
Star Talk will film at the American Museum of Natural History’s Hayden Planetarium in front of a live audience, and will premiere in April along with a special titled Hubble’s Cosmic Journey.
