Universal and Mercedes-Benz are teaming up to debut the car maker’s all-new 2016 GLE vehicles when they hit the big screen this June in Jurassic World, the highly anticipated Jurassic Park sequel.

New photos from the film set show off the new GLE Coupé, including one with producer Frank Marshall and director Colin Trevorrow, while a new still from Jurassic World shows Bryce Dallas Howard‘s character Claire standing in front of the car while talking to Chris Pratt‘s motorcycle-riding Owen.

Check out the new photos here below. [UPDATED – there’s now new footage of the car in the film.]

According to MB, in the upcoming fourth Jurassic Park film, Claire and Owen will “put their trust in the off-road capabilities of various Mercedes”‘Benz vehicles,” including the aforementioned GLE Coupé and the GLE 450 AMG Sport, which will be available for sale this Summer.

Jurassic World marks the rekindling of Mercedes-Benz and Universal’s relationship, which began with 1997’s The Lost World: Jurassic Park, where the car maker introduced their now popular M”‘Class vehicle.

From Mercedes-Benz:

“We are delighted to have been able to support this epic action-adventure with our vehicles,” said Dr. Jens Thiemer, Head of Marketing Communications for Mercedes-Benz Cars. “Our wide range of SUVs in particular fit perfectly with Jurassic World’s various requirements, with the focus on our new trendsetter, the GLE Coupé.”

Above all, it is the new GLE Coupé that shows off its best side. The first prototype of this new SUV-sector vehicle, which was handmade specially for filming, can be seen in the movie, right in time for its mid-2015 market launch. The GLE 450 AMG Sport is convincing on screen in dynamic off-road scenes set against the tropical backdrop of Jurassic World. One-and-a-half years before the vehicle’s market launch, the security measures on set were huge. Even in remote filming locations on the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Kaua’i and on NASA terrain in New Orleans, the vehicle had to be shielded from eager photographers.

From producer Frank Marshall, for Universal:

“Unveiling the new GLE Coupé in Jurassic World was a natural fit as we continue our relationship with Mercedes,” said producer Frank Marshall. “Audiences will find that the vehicles featured in the film lend themselves perfectly as the transportation of choice in the fully functioning international theme park we have created at Jurassic World.”

So, the new GLE vehicles can supposedly handle your trek through rough Jurassic World terrain, but can it withstand being stomped on by a rampaging dinosaur? I guess we’ll have to wait to find out when Jurassic World, which stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, BD Wong, Vincent D’Onofrio, and more, hits theaters on June 12, 2014.
