SPOILERS for Better Call Saul Episode 1.4 “Hero.”
AMC’s Better Call Saul Episode 1.4 “Hero” aired last night and gave us another flashback of pre-law Slippin’ Jimmy’s (Bob Odenkirk) life, before it jumped right into present-day Jimmy still trying to woo the Kettlemans to be his clients. The couple’s reaction to Jimmy’s pitch is what sets off a chain-reaction prompting the lawyer to make a major change.
The network has released the “most talked about scene” from the episode, which, not surprisingly, is the news report Jimmy was filming when a freak accident occurs, spurring him to become the episodic title’s hero. AMC has also released two behind-the-scenes featurettes: there’s a 4 1/2-minute “Inside Look” at the episode which touches on the opening flashback before delving into Jimmy’s battle with big-time lawyer Hamlin; the other is a 3 1/2-minute “Making Of” video centering on how the billboard scene was created.
You can watch all the videos here below.
The first season of Better Call Saul will run for 10 episodes and stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill (Saul); Jonathan Banks reprising his Breaking Bad role as Mike Ehrmantraut, seen here as a parking lot clerk; Michael McKean as Chuck McGill, Jimmy’s brother; Rhea Seehorn from TV sitcom Whitney as Kim Wexler, Jimmy’s love interest; and Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin, Chuck’s law firm partner and Jimmy’s nemesis.
Better Call Saul Episode 1.5 “Alpine Shepherd Boy” airs on AMC on Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10/9c. If you need to catch up on the first four episodes, you can watch them in full at AMC for the next few weeks.
