PlayStation TV’s first original series, Powers, launches on March 10, and as we get closer to the premiere date, Sony has given us a look behind the scenes of the show. “An Inside Look at Powers: A PlayStation Original Series” runs over seven minutes long, and gives a lot of good background on the series that should get you pumped to watch.

Powers is based on the comics series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, and stars Sharlto Copley (District 9, Chappie) as Detective Christian Walker, a homicide detective who specializes in cases that deal with people with super powers. He is teamed up with a new partner named Deena Pilgrim (Susan HeywardThe Following, Poltergeist). The series also stars Eddie Izzard (The Riches, Hannibal), Michelle Forbes (Battlestar Galactica, True Blood), Noah Taylor (Almost Famous, Game of Thrones), Olesya Rulin (High School Musical, Greek), and Logan Browning (Bratz, Meet the Browns).

You can watch “An Inside Look at Powers” below and then watch the first episode when it starts on March 10, 2015 and is available exclusively on the PlayStation Network to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

Real Power Lies Within

Powers, an edgy dramatic series, follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as “Powers.” Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, Powers asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?

Enter the men and women of the Powers Division, the brave people in charge of protecting humans like us and keeping the peace over commercialized, god-like men and women who glide through the sky imposing their power over the mortals who both worship and fear them.

Let us know if you think you’re going to subscribe and/or watch the series when it comes out or not.
