Weird Loners
Season 1 Episode 5: “The Weirdfather”
Directed by Christine Gernon
Written by Daniell Uhlarik, Michael J. Weithorn
Created by Michael J Weithorn
Starring Becki Newton, Zachary Knighton, Nate Torrence, Meera Rohit Kumbhani
FOX
Air Date: Tuesday, April 28th, 2015, 9:30pm

The title is apt for tonight’s Weird Loners 1.5 “The Weirdfather.” Stosh (Zachary Knighton) goes to stalk his son. His son? Self-proclaimed “douchebag” knocked up a waitress, but she won’t let him near the kid. So he sneaks money to him. The mother catches him and tells him to take him, most likely to see him fail.

He watches The Godfather with his son, Frank, over and over and over. He loves it! Eric (Nate Torrance) has trouble watching it because it is scary. They really bond which is the super scary part to Stosh.

In the meantime, Zara (Meera Rohit Kumbhani) and Caryn (Becki Newton) have tons of fun together when the four of them get drunk. They bond and braid each other’s hair. That turns Caryn needy. She does the exact same thing with Zara that she does with people she dates. This is super scary to Zara.

Stosh blows off his son and makes Eric take him to an amusement park.

Zara breaks up with Caryn.

How do you think they both react? And knowing the formula of 1/2 hour comedies is to resolve the plot in the episode, how do you think they end up coming around? Hint – Eric helps, and there’s some kicking.

This was one of their better episodes. Throwing a son in the mix was smart. It will make Stosh less of a douchebag, which is needed.

The Weird Loners finale airs Tuesday, May 5th, 2015 at 9:30pm ET on FOX.
