The latest trailer for the upcoming animated feature The Peanuts Movie has been released by 20th Century Fox. You can check it out here below. The teaser trailer for the movie was released in January.
The gang created by Charles M. Schulz is all here and it looks like their debut in the glory of computer-generated animation will remain true to their simple yet honest and heartfelt two-dimensional origins. The script was written by the Peanuts creator’s son Craig Schulz and grandson Bryan Schulz, with Steve Martino (Ice Age: Continental Drift) directing and Paul Feig (Spy) serving as a producer. Archival recordings of the late Bill Melendez are being used to provide the voices of Snoopy and Woodstock.
There’s plenty of that sweetly homespun humor and imagination the Peanuts comic strips and cartoons were known for on display in this trailer. Outside of a few current music tracks (and I’m not referring to the Who’s “Baba O’Riley”), we are spared an unnecessary contemporary updating of characters and themes that remain timeless, and visual and verbal gags that never fail to amuse.
You can see The Peanuts Movie in 3D and 2D beginning on November 6, 2015.
