SYTYCD Vegas Callbacks 1 Header

Auditions are over on So You Think You Can Dance, and it’s time for Vegas! SYTYCD brings these excellent dancers to meet their mentors in Sin City. Can they master choreography? Team Street will meet their mentor, Stephen “tWitch” Boss, and will learn choreograhy from masters Dave Scott, Tabatha and Napoleon, and award winning choreographer Jamal Sims. Team Stage led by Travis Wall will learn contemporary choreography from Wall, jazz from Sonya Tayeh, and Broadway with another award winner, Josh Bergasse.

Catch some of the highlight videos below.

Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, Jason Derulo, and Paula Abdul will judge both teams, along with the respective mentors sifting through the contestants for the very best of the best. There’s 211 dancers in, only 20 will make it through.

First up, a round of solos. SYTYCD breezed by these, because it was more of the same as the audtions. We were then witness to the joy and the pain of the choreography rounds. We didn’t see it all this week – they will finish it up in Vegas Callbacks #2.

Some notable standouts:

– Marisa’s sexy solo below.

– Eurelis’s flowing and sick moves. See below for that, and watch the episode to see how she got here.

– Two people needed medics.

– The female streetdancers outdid the males.

– The Queen of Detroit killing it!

– I always love watching tWitch get into the dancing – the sound and face he makes when someone is awesome.

– I don’t care. I love the Bill Gates looking streetdancer.

We did lose some early faves tonight. You’re gonna have to watch to see who stays and who goes home.

Catch tWitch in the movie Magic Mike XXL.

SYTYCD airs Monday nights at 8pm ET on FOX.
