By now, everyone has seen the newly released full trailer for the extremely highly anticipated film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
It’s awesome, right?
Well, late night host Jimmy Kimmel decided to take things up a notch when he took his west coast talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live to Brooklyn, NY, this week, where he debuted an alternate version of the trailer that was revoiced by members of his local Brooklyn crew!
Check out the Brooklynized version of the trailer here below.
This one hits home, as GoD headquarters is located in Brooklyn; the site is owned by Brooklyn natives (Dave3 and me), and half of our main editorial staff is Brooklyn born and raised (Stoogeypedia, Olympus Athens, Dr. Zaius). If you want to know what us guys sound like, here you go. Enjoy the fuck out of it! We sure as hell did.
Brooklyn is also Kimmel’s hometown, and his shows this week have been great, including the one from last night featuring the stars of Back To The Future: Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, and the Delorean, along with Huey Lewis and “Back In Time.” Good stuff.
For more Star Wars: The Force Awakens, check out our extensive breakdown of the trailer (including screenshots), as well as the reactions to the trailer by its stars Daisy Ridley (who plays Rey) and John Boyega (who plays Finn). The film hits theaters on Friday, December 18, 2015, with early showings scheduled in select areas the day before starting at 7pm. Tickets are on sale right now!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer Revoiced by Brooklynites (Video)
Recently they released what they’re calling the “final” trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Because we’re in Brooklyn this week, we thought it would be fun to ask our local crew to revoice the Star Wars trailer with thick Brooklyn accents.
